Office of Academic and Community Innovation

The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ School of Medicine Office of Academic and Community Innovation (OACI) houses two initiatives:

The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Quality Enhancement Plan and ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Learning Communities

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP)

As stated in The Principles of Accreditation: Foundations for Educational Quality, The Quality Enhancement Plan is an integral component of the reaffirmation of accreditation process and is derived from an institution’s ongoing comprehensive planning and evaluation processes. It reflects and affirms a commitment to enhance overall institutional quality and effectiveness by focusing on an issue that the institution considers important to improving student learning outcomes and/or student success.

ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ Learning Communities

A learning community is a group of individuals, sharing common goals, values, and ideas that actively engage in learning with and from each other.  At ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ School of Medicine, students participate in learning communities to foster a sense of community, improve peer-to-peer relationships, and encourage relationship development between students and faculty.
