The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½-Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy Connect Mentoring Program is a partnership with the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ School of Medicine (ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½), , Atlanta Public Schools, and Atlanta CARES. Many members of the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ community provide one-on-one and group mentoring to TAG students in grades three through five. Research indicates that mentoring improves attendance, academic achievement, classroom behaviors, life skills and self-efficacy.

Before the pandemic, many students at the Tuskegee Airmen Global Academy faced homelessness and food insecurity. They depended on going to school to have a steady, healthy meal and a stable place to learn. Emergencies like the COVID-19 pandemic pull stability into a tailspin.

Though the pandemic has paused our face-to-face outreach with our pipeline students, we can help our TAG students and their families by ensuring they have much needed supplies and food in these particularly challenging times.
