MSHI Admissions and Tuition Information

The online MSHI Degree provides a foundation in business concepts needed to advance health information technologies (health IT). The goal of the MSHI online program is to develop comprehensive knowledge in the methodologies to acquire, store, retrieve, and use health information in medicine to support healthcare and research enterprises. MSHI will teach students to lead the creation and advancement and health equity in health informatics.

Admissions and Tuition Information

Minimum Requirements

  1. Applicants must hold a baccalaureate degree from an accredited undergraduate institution.
  2. An introductory course in research and/or statistics, highly recommended.
  3. Current employment in a setting conducive to applying coursework, highly recommended.
  4. One (1) signed letter of recommendation, must be on letterhead.
  5. Completed online application.

To apply, students must complete an online application that includes uploading:

  1. Resume or curriculum vitae.
  2. One (1) signed letter of recommendation, must be on letterhead.
  3. Official transcripts: Provide school where degree was awarded and request official transcripts be sent to msmonline@msm.edu.
  4. If you have collegiate coursework outside of the United States, upload an unofficial copy of the course-by-course evaluation. Please do not upload unofficial copies of transcripts outside of the United States without the evaluation.
  5. An application fee of $50.
