Faculty Training for Learning Communities (LCs)

At ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½, a learning community is a group of individuals, sharing common goals, values, and ideas, that actively engages in learning with and from each other. ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ LC Faculty also form a Faculty Learning Community to engage in the Faculty LC Mentor Training Series.

Faculty LC Mentor Training Series
The Office of Academic and Community Innovation (ACI) offers opportunities to strengthen the mentoring skills of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ learning community faculty as well as other professional development and support.  Mentors are provided a set of training opportunities designed to enhance small group facilitation skills, mentoring skills, communication skills, and other skills pertinent to ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ LC student group facilitation.
